ABOUT GERMAICANTINGZ

This platform has the goal to connect you with authentic Jamaican Dancehall culture in Germany. If you have been in this scene for quite a long time you know that it's so much more than just a few dances..

But let's go back to the beginning..

It was the year 2018. The dancehall dance scene in Germany was growing fast and more and more workshops were taking place. There was more choice of workshops than ever before which in turn made it difficult to organize. Should you go to Hamburg for one-day workshops or should you go to Berlin for a camp lasting several days? You were spoilt for choice. What I personally missed as a dancer was an overview of all the dates that were coming up. There was no such overview back then. So after a lot of back and forth, I decided without further ado to create this overview myself:

the birth of GermaicanTingz.

Germantingz focuses on everything Jamaican that happens in Germany. Hence, the acronym 'germaican' from 'German' and 'Jamaican' and 'Tingz' in Patois to give the whole thing a more Jamaican spirit.
